Position: Affordable Housing Assistant Property Manager

Location: Tampa, FL

Pay: $25/hour

Experience:  

1. Previous multifamily property management experience required.
2. Previous experience working in an affordable housing community required.

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm

HH Staffing is seeking an Affordable Housing Assistant Property Manager to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

1. Assist the Property Manager with daily community operations and administrative responsibilities.
2. Support leasing activities, resident communication, move-ins, renewals, and other resident-related processes.
3. Assist with maintaining accurate resident files, leases, certifications, and required documentation.
4. Support affordable housing compliance processes and ensure documentation is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
5. Assist with applicant screening, income and eligibility documentation, and file preparation as applicable.
6. Help coordinate annual and interim recertifications as required by the property's housing programs.
7. Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow-up, resident account questions, and related administrative duties.
8. Respond professionally to resident concerns and help resolve issues in accordance with company policies.
9. Work closely with property management, maintenance, leasing, and compliance teams to support community operations.
10. Maintain confidentiality and accurate records while following Fair Housing requirements and company policies.
11. Provide additional operational support to the Property Manager as needed.

Position Requirements:  

1. Working knowledge of HUD, Section 8, and/or LIHTC/Tax Credit programs strongly preferred.
2. Assistant Property Manager, Leasing, Compliance, or similar affordable housing experience preferred.
3. Familiarity with income qualification, resident certifications/recertifications, and affordable housing documentation preferred.
4. Experience with property management software preferred.
5. Knowledge of Fair Housing practices.
6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
7. Strong administrative, organizational, and customer-service skills.
8. Comfortable handling resident concerns and working in a fast-paced property management environment.
